I have a photo of my XC90 dash showing 42.7 average after 103.9 miles on cruise control on the A1 northbound Friday 29 August at 1.30 pm. I have to say this is a new high for me:thumbs_up: Bugger ..... it will not let me attach my photo (website not available)
I did a 120 mile round trip on Fri night, up past "Accrington Stanley" M62/M6/M65 and some rural... 5 in the car, cruise set to indicated 80, actual 78 - Average consumption for the run 37.9mpg..... Not bad for a big fully laden car - I do run the "economy" tyre pressures though... Mike
They are the "Full Load " pressures - see plate on fuel flap or door pillar for figures , if the ride is still ok go for it , the tyre life will be increased and edge wear greatly reduced

Nope, as per I think Roy McDonald? I run mine at 40psi all round.... Handling is improved as is MPG, ride a tad stiffer, but I like the difference.... Mike
After 5 years of ownership, chipped my diesel XC90 163bhp 2.5 AWD geartronic, plus K&N filter, with 32 psi in all 4 tyres and this week did a trip from Exeter to London and back (400 miles in all, myself only) at steady 70 and got 47.8 mpg. The 'miles to empty tank' plus the miles travelled at one stage added up to 705 miles. A record for me!!!
