ESC 28 is corresponding with 1-byte DRCS, but ESC 28 4A is not matched with any code representation in Table 7-2 Designation of graphic sets according ARIB TR-B24. Hi, As far as sequence 1B 28 4A is concerned :This is alphanumeric ,you can decode the strings based on it. Can you send me your clip with the required data.May be I can analyse it further. Is the data you pasted a part of logo descriptor or part of subtitle or teletext. Thanks Mohit

RE: An issue of ARIB character-set

Hi, even i am facing the similar kind of problem... I am parsing captions data... The data looks like this 80 FF F0 04 00 00 00 8E 3F 00 00 8A 1F 30 00 00 2C 01 41 21 01 00 00 10 12 00 00 18 0C 3C 1E 3F FE 3F FE 1F FC 31 C6 7F FF 7B EF 7F FF 7C 1F 7A AF 3B 6E 3C 9E 1F FC 0F F8 03 E0 00 00 1F 20 00 00 54 0C A1 CA A3 B0 A3 B4 A1 CB C0 A9 B8 E6 C9 E4 B9 E6 A1 A7 CA A3 B9 E7 0D 91 40 80 B9 F5 BF B9 F5 BF A7 21 81 C0 D6 BF A7 21 82 CE D0 BF A7 21 0D 83 B2 AB BF A7 21 84 C0 C4 BF A7 21 85 A5 DE A5 BC A5 F3 A5 C0 21 0D 86 A5 B7 A5 A2 A5 F3 21 87 C7 F2 BF A7 21 91 4F 4E 31 The data in red colour is DRCS data.. I parsed it as per ARIB_STD-B24-1_v5.1_E1.pdf(Pg.no.140), but when i am trying to display the data, some junk characters are getting displayed.. I dint use any character conversion.. Do i need to apply any conversion methods for displaying DRCS data..? Thanks in advance..
