VERY NOOB QUESTION, PLAYBACK MIDI

I've imported a midi file, but it doesn't sound(in Quicktime it does). I'm using OS X 10.6. What should I set to hear something? Thanks!

Damn, I need to copy paste my post over and over again. You could have searched the forum, you know :) 1. Ctrl+A to select all tracks 2. right-click on ANY of the "io" buttons for the track 3. select "MIDI Output" 4. select your desired MIDI output, for this test choose MS Wavetable Softsynth 5. select "Send all" It should play now.

But the thing is, when I choose "MIDI Output", it appears "None". And I don't know really if this is an specific issue of OSX. What should I do?

Oh damn, you're on Mac. You need to go to Properties, then click on MIDI Devices... see if you have any MIDI devices listed there, and turn a MIDI device on (double-click to get options for each MIDI device). After that, the activated device will show up in MIDI Output drop-down.

There's no MIDI devices. But It sounds through Quicktime! :S What should I do?

you didn't say you want only MIDI device so you can try with vst/js/any other format, plugs
