Firmware update

MessageAuthor

The firmware versions are tied to the software versions. To "downgrade" the firmware, you would have to "downgrade" the software version also.

RE: Firmware update

Well if I downgrade the software as I am likely to do here shortly will it prompt me to downgrade the firmware? I'm frustrated because I'm trying to connect my korg to PTLE 6.9. I like how it lets you add instrument profiles. But I'm having difficulty getting them to communicate again. I tried to adjust tempo from 120 to 95 but the apply button remains shaded. I don't doubt that I will be able to get the components to communicate, that just takes time. But it is imperative that the tempo be changed when I import midi sounds.

RE: Firmware update

Perhaps if you posted exactly what you are trying to do, what you have tried, and what error(s) you are receiving, as well as your systems and other hardware specs, someone here might be able to help you out. As it is, I'm completely confused by your explanation. It sounds more like you are having configuration issues, not firmware ones.

RE: Firmware update

Digi002 Firmware version 1.21r PTLE 6.9 Intel Pentium 4 / 2.4ghz 1gb ram Configuration: Midi tab- Enabled click Click options / Output "Korg Triton channel 1" Setups tab- Peripherals / Machine Control / Enable MMC 'send to' korg triton Midi Studio Setup Added Korg triton input port / Digidesign Digi 002 port 1 output port / Digidesign Digi 002 port 1 "Emulated" Preferences / MIDI Default Thru instrument= Korg Triton channel 1 General= Enable use midi tempo I enable the 'use midi tempo'. I don't know if this will overwrite the default tempo of 120. I still cant edit the tempo as the apply button is greyed out. I just upgraded PTLE from 6.4 where my components where communicating. I remember have an issue with configurations the last time I set up PTLE so I'm sure its something simple like enable MMC. But I've done that, is there something I haven't done yet. I created a restore point before I began my day so I hope that if need be I can go back in time to when things were fine and just chalk this up as a loss for me and a win for technology. If I left out any important information just ask.

RE: Firmware update

When I go to the midi tab and choose click options I changed the out put from the korg triton profile to Predefined / Digidesign Digi002 port 1 emulated chanel 1-15 the beat clock sound changes. It sounds like various sounds from the midi track in the triton. This means that some communication has been made with the keyboard. But its just useing sounds to modify the PTLE Beat clock sound. So basicly, when I enable record on an audio track I can hear what ever sounds the keyboard produces when I play a melody or whatever. Then when I press record/play it isn't starting the board or there isn't any sound being played from the board if it is. But I do hear the PTLE beat clock just fine. I'm pretty sure it isn't the keyboard because as I said we had it configured for PTLE 6.4.
